[she seems to think...]

A while back we were driving by our temple. From the backseat a curious voice says to me, "Mom, why don't we go to the temple anymore?" For an instant the question seemed odd... we go for drives to see the temple a lot, and she knows that me and daddy still go there together often. But then it hit me, and I knew exactly what she meant. I came to this conclusion...

You see, the day me and Chris were sealed, it was like a fairytale for Brylie. She seems to think that she's the one that got married! Chris was her prince, and she was his princess... and still is. It must have been so special, almost magical for her. Even though she was not able to go inside with us, she remembers being on the temple grounds in her pretty white dress, just like mama's.

I explained to her that even though we had one special day there, doesn't mean it's the end. In fact, it's only the beginning, and that one day she will have the opportunity to go inside and recieve those same blessings. Until then, we can still go there and enjoy the spirit and peace that the temple brings, (even if it's outside the temple doors)... together.

I hope she never forgets those memories... and those feelings. I'm grateful she's already growing a testimony of the temple in her young mind and heart.

*May 14th - I took the girls on a walk around the temple grounds. I was hoping the pretty spring flowers were still there so I could get some pretty pictures, but it was only dirt that day. Oh, well. It helped me focus on the most important things... Them. My beautiful girls.
