{happiness in a bowl}

goldfish ~ 13 cents

fish bowl ~ $5

rocks ~ $2

plastic plant ~ 99 cents

fish food ~ $1.50

Moments of pure joy in a little girl ~ priceless.

~Update on Nemo~ He took a ride on the porcelain express today. Poor lil guy. But no worries, I'm sure he'll be back! Anybody know how to keep Nemo alive for more than 2 days?

I'll have to come back and read the comments you get on how to keep Nemo alive. Gary keeps insisting we get Gavin a goldfish so I'll need to know.

Our gold fish from my sisters wedding stayed alive for 3 months, and then died. We started out with 5, within the first week all died but one. Funny thing was it was the little one who survived. The big ones all died. So maybe get a little one. lol

The people at the petstore said the goldfish are not living very long right now...like they are all coming in with diseases. And it seems to me that most of my friends who buy them, lose them within 2 weeks. My brother has a beta fish...that sucker has been living forever!

Beta Fish!!!! I worked at a pet store for over 3 years in high school and college. The goldfish are cheaper but the little ones are meant mostly as food for turtles, bigger fish, etc. The Beta fish are more expensive...$2 but they keep on living... as pets.
