It was friday, Feb. 18th. It was a perfectly happy, normal day (and it was my birthday.) Brylie was playing next door with her cousins. Next thing I know I'm hearing a bawling child outside my door with a knock. I open the door. "Mommy my foot hurts!" The girls tell me that she was jumping off the stairs onto a couch with Sampson and hurt her foot. The crying doesn't stop for hours, even with all my attempts to comfort her. Later we finally decide it's time to go get it checked. Her foot is wrapped. X-rays are taken. A fracture is found. Pain killers are swallowed. All is calm... for a minute. It was a long night, but we got through it. Four days later she got her cast put on.
[Conversation between Miss Brylie and the Nurse:]
Nurse: "What color of cast to you want?"
Miss Brylie: "Pink!"
Nurse: "Ok! Do you want light pink or hot pink?"
Miss Brylie: (very worried) "No! Not
HOT pink! That will hurt me!"
Me: (laughing) "how bout PRETTY princess pink?"
Miss Brylie: "Ok."

Cute cast:) Sounds like the time Chris broke his leg jumping off the couch at the babysitters. He got so spoiled from my grandma! I wanted to break my leg:)

Aww, poor Brylie! Looks like she's wearing it well, though! I hope she heals up quickly! How is she getting around with that thing on? PS: WE miss you guys! Let's go out soon!
